About Us

Pat and Mike are both retired and look all the time for creative things to do.  The Backyard Buddies book idea came from seeing all the animals and insects that live in their own backyard and their precious dog Hobo.  Prior to retirement Mike co- authored a management book – “On the Level” for his company which was distributed to all the 265 companies in the insurance mutual. Pat is a natural animal lover with the responsibility of looking after six (6) ferial cats that live on the deck and the 54 Koi in our pond. After the publication of the first two Backyard Buddies books Pat and Mike decided to put their imaginative juices together and develop other creative books for children to read. Their books challenge the imagination and thoughts of all children to sit back and read their books and imagine you are in the same place in the book. It’s a wonderful place to be for a few minutes.
